Data Deletion

We designed account deletion to be clear, transparent, and reversible. You have 30 days to change your mind before anything is permanently removed.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your contact details — phone number(s), email address, and platform identifiers
  • All your lists, items, fields, relations, and reminders
  • All chat session history
  • All notes and metadata associated with your account
  • Any list sharing memberships you hold or have granted to others

What we keep: anonymised usage statistics only — numbers like "account active for 8 months, 47 lists created." No names, no content, no identifiers. These cannot be linked back to you.

Deletion is permanent. Your data cannot be recovered once the 30-day period has passed.

How to Request Deletion

Send /delete_account to the Listify bot on any platform (WhatsApp, Telegram, or LINE).

The bot will walk you through exactly what happens and ask for your confirmation.

The Deletion Process

You initiate

Send /delete_account in your Listify chat. The bot will show you exactly what will be deleted and what (anonymised) data will be kept, then ask you to confirm.

Verify by email

After confirming in chat, we send a verification email. Click the link to start the 30-day countdown. No click, no deletion — we won't delete your account without email confirmation.

30-day grace period

Your account stays fully intact and usable for 30 days. We'll send you a reminder before it's final. Changed your mind? Send /cancel_deletion anytime during this window.

Permanent deletion

After 30 days, all personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted. You'll receive a final confirmation message.

Can't Access the Bot?

If you can no longer access your Listify chat, email us directly at privacy@listify.chat with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include the email address or phone number associated with your account. We'll process your request within 7 days of verification.

After Deletion

  • Any invite tokens you generated will be invalidated — other users lose access to your shared lists.
  • If you used Listify via WhatsApp, deleting your Listify account does not affect your WhatsApp account. Refer to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy for information about data held by Meta.
